Annette Marx
Annette came to study fine art after initially embarking on a career in economics. Over the years she has developed her monochrome, abstract style and is now a full-time artist living and working in Saarbrücken, Germany.
"My work is entirely focussed on colour, in particular the colour red," explains Annette. "It was the first colour be to named by man and to me it is the most important colour."
Annette works to completely detach colour from any object or reality, forcing us to experience it in its’ pure form. This collection celebrates the fundamental properties of the colour red and is an attempt to capture the raw energy of this powerful and expressive shade.
