From Scotland originally, Berthier now lives and works at the opposite end of the country in Hampshire on the south coast of England. Fascinated by legend and ancient belief systems, she has created a collection based on the Four Elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air.

Berthier works in acrylic and gloss paints to create contemporary abstract art. Each piece is matched to an element, using colours relating to the element itself. Inspired by Jackson Pollock she flicks and throws gloss paint across the canvas, giving her work energy and a sense of movement.
