Living and working in Newbury, Deborah takes inspiration from maps and aerial photographs of towns and agricultural countryside. She explores how we physically build communities and the impact that this has on the landscape.

Deborah uses a sophisticated pallet of reds, greys and muted blues. She paints in acrylic layers to produce flat, geometric representations of our societies. Concerned with structure and colour, her abstract grids take us into the sky to observe human impact from a point of view that we are rarely think to look from.
