Huy is an artist living and working in Belgium. She paints in a very distinctive way, marrying abstract with a more representational style.
Huy has limited her palette to mainly primary colours. By default, this gives her work a playful feel, though she tackles the relatively serious subject of landscape. She applies acrylic paint thickly to build up mountains or towns in some cases, with the hint of a bridge or a church emerging from the heavy brushwork. Her work also features some still life but her collection is seamlessly delivered in her unique and energizing way.
