Dr Dilek Özgit is an artist living and working in Cambridge. She was born in Istanbul and introduced to painting from a young age thanks to her father who is a painter and sculptor. Inspired by her scientific and engineering background, ?zgit has developed a very distinctive style, converting her experiences and emotions into well-defined geometric shapes combined with vibrant colours. The way she describes her artwork is spontaneous and purely an expression of the moment.

As well as being an artist, currently ?zgit is the Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Zinergy UK LTD aiming to manufacture ultrathin, printed and flexible batteries to power next generation flexible electronics.
