Lee Eveson has worked as a commercial photographer, illustrator and teacher for twenty years.
Through his work Eveson strives to capture the essence of movement of the environment where he lives. Having always been obsessed with the sea as a diver, surfer and SUP boarder, it was only a matter of time until the ocean became a feature of his paintings.
Inspired by street art, its energy and colour, as well as its non-conformity to Fine Art principles. Eveson tries to capture both urbanism and landscape as a genre in his work. The paintings are established over many layers and the work is continually made, destroyed and recreated, to develop a narrative of time and change. The composition is never fully realised until the end of the piece.
