Working from her studio in Cambridge, Basheer creates bold and expressive paintings that are full of colour. Painting is an intuitive process for her. She goes with the flow and draws inspiration from our beautiful world, its structures, textures and colours. When she paints, she is looking to transform her canvas so that it conveys an emotion or a feeling. Her pieces are full of energy and hidden depth and are created by building up numerous layers of paint.

Basheer finds immense joy in painting and uses her choice of a vibrant colour palette to portray a sense of optimism and happiness.
