Williams? current work stems from a close observation of the landscape and it is often the glimpsed moments that inspire her- clouds breaking to illuminate a hillside, the play of light chasing across the fields, trees, gold and scarlet in their autumn colours, dawn breaking over the ridge, pink and cold on winter mornings.

The observations accumulate and distil over time- her work is not a depiction of the scene but her own personal response.
