Sheryl is a contemporary landscape painter from Leeds, dividing her week working from her studios in Leeds and Weardale in the Pennines. Inspired by the work of the great painter J.M.W. Turner, Sheryl’s collection of ’tempestuous skies and chaotic landscapes’ is bold and beautifully atmospheric.

Often painting with both hands at the same time, she starts off with an undercoat using high density pigment acrylic before building layers of alkyd oils using pallet knives, brushes, rags and even her fingers. Each piece is finished with a UV resistant glaze.
