Lynda lives and works as a painter in Fulham, London. She lives close to the River Thames and walks along its banks almost daily. It provides her with much inspiration, fed back into her work in emotional form rather than visual detail.
Lynda also visits the Scilly Isles to paint. Though widely travelled she says, "I still think that England is the best place to paint". Never without a sketch book, Lynda draws whilst out walking and then translates this preliminary work into paintings in her studio, though sometimes she may simply rely on her memory of a place.
With Romantic painters such as Eugène De La Croix and J. M. W. Turner as her influences, she celebrates paint as a physical material and layers it thickly to create highly atmospheric paintings.
