Originally from Norway, Hay White now lives and works in Shorham-by-Sea. Inspired by modernist architecture and industrial design, she often uses colour and form to skirt the boundary between abstraction and pictorial representation.

Working the paint to create a textual aesthetic, Hay White acknowledges artists such a Paul Klee and Rachel Whiteread as having big influences on her art.
