Janet is a Malaysian Indian artist now living and working in London. Raised in Malaysia, Janet takes inspiration from the tropical jungle undergrowth of her childhood home.

Janet works in layers to reflect the dense covering of jungle vegetation. Colour represents sunlight making its way through the thick forest canopy. The darker shadowed parts of her work signify the dank, dark spaces of the forest floor that go without light. Despite Janet’s energetic, abstract style, her work depicts calm amongst the bustling movement of the jungle undergrowth.
