Rutters work essentially comes from notions of conflict, the balance between chaos and order and how one relates to the other. The push and pull of forms using the whole array of the colour spectrum in order to produce different visual effects.

Rutter?s artwork has changed and evolved with his understanding of nature and the physical world. Being fascinated by the sciences and how they may complement his art he chose to study a degree in Physics. His hope through his work is to communicate certain concepts drawn from the physical world like chaos and order whilst maintaining a sense of fun and freedom.
