Dumont is a Belgian artist, living and working in Brussels. His grand uncle sparked his love of the Mediterranean when he became director of the Port of Marseille, frequently inviting him to the area.

Dumont builds up acrylic paint in very flat layers to create paintings that have similar qualities to screenprints. His work follows a nautical theme, focussing on the detail of boats in a very select range of colours. Dumont is also influenced by an education in graphic design, giving his work an illustrative quality and sharp precision.
