Ruhnare lives and works as a professional artist in Belgium. Inspired by the people she meets and the places she has visited, she works in an abstract style to deliver punchy, vibrant artwork.

Ruhnare uses a range of techniques to create deliberately contrasting textures. In some instances she applies collage or plaster to the canvas, giving the work relief. She also uses paint in a sculptural way, heavily building it up and scratching it back to produce thick and thin areas of material. Colour is integral to Ruhnare’s work. She uses a vivid, technicolour palette from tangerine orange to turquoise blue to create high energy, impactful work.
