Guilarte is originally from northern Spain and now works from her London studio. She studied Fine Art, History of Art as well as Conservation and Restoration in Spain before moving to the UK.

Inspired by artists such as Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock and Franz Kline Guilarte creates intense and expressive abstract work. This collection, ’Around the World’ has been strongly influenced by her many worldwide travels. Working in acrylic and enamel, Guilarte’s limited colour pallet and large brushstrokes give way to dramatic and imposing artworks.
