Bowie is originally from the small coastal village of Solva on the rugged Pembrokeshire coast. He continues to live and work in the area, constantly stimulated by the surrounding national park and coast line.

Bowie’s work is hugely inspired by his beautiful, natural surroundings. He captures the movement of the sky and the sea in oils, varying the layers of texture on the canvas to create salt spray, mist or choppy waters. His semi-abstract style captures both what he physically sees but also the non-physical, giving his work a great sense of depth, mood and feeling.
