In her bold abstracts, Catherine Hollens explores what lies below the surface, both physically and psychologically.

Taking inspiration from the natural world - as in her current series entitled ’Waves’ - she explores the passions and energies that lie within us all.

Over time, Catherine has perfected a highly original technique that involves stripping back layers of paint to reveal stunning landscapes of colour.

Catherine studied fine art at university, going on to work as assistant to a number of high profile artists including Gilbert and George.

Now an established artist in her own right, her original and highly collectable paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally and feature in many private collections.
