I have a strong sculptural background and have enjoyed the challenge of experimenting with a wide variety of materials and the freedom of working within a three dimensional form. It is this freedom that I strive to encapsulate within my paintings.

I have always had an intense passion for abstract art, as in my opinion the success of a piece of artwork lies in the response it evokes, rather than the necessity to grasp the artists personal vision. Each person will have a unique reaction to it, love it or hate it; it will always generate a debate! I believe that abstract art is one of the art forms that truly allows the freedom of interpretation.

Colour alone is a powerful attribute and can evoke a wide spectrum of emotions and set the atmosphere of a room. Within this collection I have experimented with a bold use of colour, which is complimented by the delicate feathered brushwork.
