Harriet Green is a decorative painter who ran the innovative Chameleon Paint Workshop in the New Forest for over six years - painting furniture and interior accessories and teaching one day workshops in decorative paint techniques. She started using gold leaf while mastering the craft of bookbinding and is now combining her decorating skills with this medium to create some original and interesting effects. Her recent work comes under the broad title of The Alchemy Collection and comprises a series of medium to large wall panels on both canvas and plywood using mixed media, including composition gold leaf, silver (aluminium) leaf and copper leaf as well as metallic paints.

Harriet’s’ most recent work includes a commission for the Dorchester Hotel, London. She produced a series of four panels for designers Crossing O’Sullivan who selected their favourite one to complete the room. Her stunning gold leaf Alchemy panel is now permanently exhibited in the Krug Room at the Dorchester, which seats 12 for private dinning.
