Roeland Peperkamp was born in Scheveningen, in the Netherlands, 1955 and now lives and works in Malines. In 1978 he studied photography and composition at R.I.K.A in Malines. In 1988 he took lessons in landscape and portrait painting with Maarten Boffé. He then developed his work into the style you see now; abstract, lyrical and of a graphic nature. His composition is dynamic and his use of bold colour is accentuated further still by the strong black lines he sweeps across the canvas. He has won a number of prizes in many countries and has exhibited at Campo in Anvers.
