Frank Bellier
Born in Paris, 1966, Frank Bellier is a self taught artist. Passionate about ’image’ he shares his time between painting and photography. His graphic like artwork is deceivingly naïve, demonstrated by his use of blocks of acrylic colour, surrounded by black outlines. His work has a 1980’s feel to it, similar to the work of New York based artists such as Kenny Scharf and Keith Haring Frank Bellier has taken part in many exhibitions in galleries, bars and in shops in Paris and Aix-en-Provence. He’s also worked in illustration and has had work published in various houses.
His subject: ’La Bestiole’. Originally from Paris, it was born in 1996. Gentle and lively this clever little creature it’s easily tamed. It likes to be looked at, enjoys company and has no fear of the ridiculous.
